AAA / Auto Club Claims in California

AAA Insurance in California is administered by the Auto Club of Southern California (Interinsurance Exchange of the Automobile Club). Call 1-800-672-5246 to file an auto claim, or use the AAA mobile app. They'll point you to their Approved Auto Repair (AAR) facilities.

AAA respects shop choice well, but their AAR program adds steering pressure. California Insurance Code §758.5 lets you choose any shop. Service Pros handles the AAA interaction for you.

AAA Members: Two Things You Should Know

First, your AAA membership status doesn't affect your claim outcome — but it can help with towing. Most claims include a free tow to the shop of your choice; AAA tows on top of that are still available.

Second, AAA's AAR program is decent but limited in coverage of luxury and EV brands in LA. For Tesla, BMW, Audi, Mercedes, and similar — independent certified shops in our network are typically the better choice.

Diminished Value Claims

Most collision repairs take 1–3 weeks depending on damage severity and parts availability. Heavier structural damage on luxury or EV vehicles can run 4–6 weeks. You get a free rental car for the entire time your vehicle is in the shop, so you stay mobile.

If you were not at fault, filing a third-party claim against the at-fault driver typically does not raise your premium. If you were at fault and file under collision coverage, your rate may increase at renewal. Comprehensive claims (theft, vandalism, weather) usually do not raise rates.

Our partner shops offer deductible assistance programs to help cover some or all of your out-of-pocket cost. The amount depends on your repair total and shop. If you were not at fault, you typically don't owe a deductible at all — the at-fault driver's insurance covers the full repair.
