The Allstate Aftermarket Parts Problem

Allstate uses more aftermarket and recycled (LKQ) parts than most major insurers. For older vehicles this is fine. For newer cars, especially luxury and EVs, aftermarket parts can void manufacturer warranties and compromise crash safety.

If you were not at fault, filing a third-party claim against the at-fault driver typically does not raise your premium. If you were at fault and file under collision coverage, your rate may increase at renewal. Comprehensive claims (theft, vandalism, weather) usually do not raise rates.
