Most collision repairs take 1–3 weeks depending on damage severity and parts availability. Heavier structural damage on luxury or EV vehicles can run 4–6 weeks. You get a free rental car for the entire time your vehicle is in the shop, so you stay mobile.
If you were not at fault, filing a third-party claim against the at-fault driver typically does not raise your premium. If you were at fault and file under collision coverage, your rate may increase at renewal. Comprehensive claims (theft, vandalism, weather) usually do not raise rates.
